  'Be in good stead!  Ride an American Saddlebred' - Rosemary Mackay

Our Webmaster is Ms Cheryl White who has been a dear friend of ours for thirteen years.  She built our site from scratch having had no previous experience in building websites.  She learned how by reading books and by following the instructions which came with the Microsoft FrontPage package.

She has an IT background having worked in the Australian Public Service for nearly 21 years developing and maintaining Australia-wide mainframe systems.  Since taking a redundancy package from the Public Service in December 1998 she has worked as a music teacher, teaching piano, piano accordion, keyboard and button accordion to adults and children alike.  She has also kept books for various organisations and built our website.

Born in the Adelaide Hills in South Australia, Cheryl has a Bachelor of Science Degree with a Computer Science and Applied Mathematics major from the University of Adelaide and has lived in Canberra, ACT for over thirty years since being appointed to the Australian Public Service. 

Toastmasters

She has been active in Toastmasters International (a worldwide communication and leadership organisation) for over ten years.  During this time she has earned numerous awards including two Distinguished Toastmaster awards.

More about Cheryl

Cheryl's other hobbies include sewing and upholstery and she is often called upon to repair clothes for people.  She has also made items of clothing and home decor and several of her friends have examples of her handiwork in their homes. 

Cheryl enjoys coming out to our property, which is a far cry from the hustle and bustle of Canberra.
